Tested, not just claimed

Safe enough that we'd give it to our own kids

Because we do. Every piece in this store is one our own children have squeezed. We test to the same standards we'd demand as parents — and we'll send you the paperwork to prove it.

What's actually in them

Two materials, no surprises

Most cheap squishies have a long ingredient list because they use the cheapest filler available. Ours is short on purpose.

Food-grade TPU skin

The outer skin is a thermoplastic polyurethane rated for food contact. It's what makes the surface smooth, tear-resistant, and free of the plastic smell you get with cheaper toys.

Non-toxic fill

Depending on the design, either a cosmetic-grade gel or a soft foam fill. No phthalates, no BPA, no latex, and no heavy-metal stabilisers. This is why our squishies don't smell.

What we leave out

No phthalates. No BPA. No latex. No PVC. No lead or heavy-metal stabilisers. No added fragrance. The glitter is encapsulated in the skin, not loose on the surface where it could be inhaled.

How every batch gets tested

Testing isn't a one-off. Every production batch goes through the same process before a single piece is listed for sale.

  1. 01

    Materials checked on arrival

Incoming TPU and fill are checked against the supplier's certificate of analysis before production starts.

  2. 02

    Independent lab testing

Finished pieces go to an accredited third-party lab for EN71 and CPSC testing — phthalate content, heavy metals, and mechanical safety including tension and drop testing.

  3. 03

    Durability and rebound testing

Each design is compression-tested to 10,000 cycles with no measurable loss of rebound. If a design fails, it doesn't go on sale.

  4. 04

    Hand inspection before packing

Every individual piece is inspected for tears, seams and finish before it's packed. Anything that fails gets pulled, not discounted.

Age guidance

Our range is recommended for ages 5 and over. Here's the honest reasoning behind that number rather than a blanket warning.

5 and over

  • Can understand not to chew a soft toy
  • Has the hand strength for the full-size pieces
  • Will tell you if a seam looks like it's splitting
  • Gets the collecting side of it, which is half the fun

Under 5 — with care

  • Soft toys can tear; torn filling is the main risk at any age
  • Under 3, wait — mouthing is the primary exposure route
  • Supervise closely if a younger sibling is playing too
  • Check seams regularly and discard if the skin splits

These are not safety equipment or medical devices. Our sensory pieces are designed for calming tactile input, and parents tell us they help — but they aren't a treatment for anxiety, ADHD or any other condition, and they don't replace advice from your paediatrician or occupational therapist.

Looking after them

Cleaning

Wipe with a damp cloth and a little mild soap. Don't soak them, don't put them in the washing machine or dishwasher, and don't use alcohol or solvent cleaners — those break down the skin.

Storing

Keep them out of direct sunlight and away from radiators. Prolonged heat can soften the skin and it may take a while to return to shape. Normal room temperature is perfect.

If it tears

Stop using it and discard it if the filling is exposed — don't try to repair it, because household glue isn't food-safe. If it tore during normal play within 30 days, that's a fault and we'll replace it.

Pets and heat

Keep them away from pets. A squishy is not a dog toy no matter how much your dog disagrees, and punctures from teeth aren't covered by the returns policy.

Still have a question?

Ask us anything about materials or safety

If you're deciding whether something is right for your child, tell us about them and we'll give you a straight answer — even when that answer is “not this one”.
